Impact statement
I was involved to audite Paydesk workflows, aiming to identify real-user pain points without drastically altering the familiar platform while driving company progress.
My methods included:

Qualitative data collection: I conducted interviews (open-ended questions), focus groups (group discussions to gather opinions), and ethnographic observation (immersive study of user behavior). I also performed a literature review.

Improvement plan
As a result of my research i have provided next recomensations:
High Priority:
Improve Verification: Simplify the phone verification process; avoid redundant requests.
Streamline Profile Completion: Make profile completion easier for clients.
Revamp Landing Page:  Increase journalist engagement by highlighting earnings potential, showcasing Paydesk's ease of payment for producers (emphasize single-invoice payments for multiple journalists), and clearly explaining how producers can manage their journalist teams globally.  Include information on producer benefits (e.g., simultaneous purchase and management of journalist stories). Explain how the "stories" feature benefits producers.
Improve Onboarding: Provide clear instructions and helpful messages (e.g., suggesting nearby journalists if initial search yields no results, guidance on profile completion).
Enhance Notifications: Implement clear notifications for actions like extending hire periods or hiring journalists.
Clarify Journalist Range & PRO Accounts: Provide clearer information on journalist profiles and the benefits of PRO accounts.
Fix Search Functionality:  Display more than 25 journalists per search result page; add pagination and improved filtering. Fix the issue of losing search results after navigating to a journalist profile.  Remove the "request availability" button for journalists using the search function.  Pin selected journalists to the top of search results.  Add a link for advanced search on the main page. (Consult Anton on feasibility of fixes.)
Address Favourites: Allow users to favorite journalists *before* hiring.

Medium Priority:
Improve Newsfeed Usage: Increase user engagement with the newsfeed.
Clarify Extended Hire Period: Provide better explanations and help messages.

Low Priority / Future Considerations:
Billing Flexibility: Allow producers to choose payment methods (card or invoice) and offer journalists more withdrawal options.
Multiple Journalist Hiring: Enable producers to hire multiple journalists for the same task.
Archived Jobs: Evaluate the usage and potential improvements for archived jobs.
Message History: Display a count of unread messages and provide comprehensive message history details.
UI Touch-ups: This is a continuous effort, but these are prioritized.
